The idea

Not a hotel room. An apartment.

Most Thong Lor accommodation asks you to live out of a suitcase in thirty square metres. The Elite gives you a private foyer, a living room with real furniture in it, a kitchen with a full sized fridge, two bedrooms with doors that close, and two marble bathrooms.

Behind that classical front, everything is warm: cream panelling, deep buttoned sofas, an olive armchair, a mustard stair carpet, herringbone timber underfoot. Then a full length pool on the roof, and Sukhumvit 55 outside the door, because this is still Bangkok.

Seven identical apartments run as one inventory, so the rate you are quoted is for the apartment, not for a room type you then have to gamble on.

The whole apartment, for up to four guests, VAT included. The price is the same whether there are two of you or four, with no extra guest charge. Early bird

Book 45 days ahead and save 10 to 12 percent

We run close to full, so the apartment you want is usually gone before the month starts. Book at least 45 days before you arrive and we take 10 to 12 percent off the nightly rate. The earlier the dates are settled, the better the number, for both of us.
